We had a baptism this afternoon and it is up to the elders to go and fill the font. That little job often turns out to be a huge problem in that the elders are not very proficient with the technology involved with heating the water etc. Today was no exception - we received a call for help and Brent tried to "walk them through" the process telling them which switches should be on and which levers should be "up" etc. Shortly after that, another call for help as the water was still cold - so, Brent went over to help. That is about a 40 minute journey each way - if the traffic is good. I had wanted to go and purchase a jacket on our way to the baptism and was afraid that I would not be able to do that, but Brent got back just in time for us to barely fit that in. We arrived at the baptism just as the service was starting, so all was well.
